Dude was real cool -- he said to me "I'm going halves with you on the treatment cause you're doing a favor to this poor animal and I want to be involved" I never forgot that he did that.

She lived on about another 7 years and was precious to me. I still think about her every now and then.


Seems my younger son and his new wife have that good gene. Every time I turn around they've got another rescue with them.

 Vets are awesome when they know you are rescuing.

 When I was at that trailor in the country, it was on "camp grounds" and it was a popular spot for people to dump and abandone pets. Mostly cats. But a few dogs ended up dumped as well as a domestic rabbit.

 I tried to trap that poor rabbit for two months. He actually ended up just joining the wild...not usual for domestic rabbits.

 But while I was there I saved 38 cats and kittens. I had 4 pregnant moms....and they had litters so I was taking care of A LOT of cats. Between the males and the pregnant females....it was a lot.

 I had 4 kittens pass from fading kitten syndrome. I saved two kittens who were just weak and dying. I suspect the litters were inbred...and the mom's had been living outside so they were dehydrated and malnourished.

 I found an abandoned newborn kitten outside In the ROAD. Just the one. No mom..no litter mates. That was odd and sad. I posted about him with pictures and updates I think

 Prudence was from a litter I found under my deck. There were 6 of them, about 5...maybe 6 weeks old. They were SO spicy. All hissy and spitty....so adorable

 Took us a few days to catch them all and get them inside. Their momma came in easy.

 My daughter (20 year old) took a nasty bite from the spiciest one. She just grabbed it with her bare hands and let it maul her hand as she brought it inside lol. We had to go to ER over it. I was so proud. 

 We got all 38 sterilized and given shots and adopted out. The vet worked with us. I also treated 8 kittens with respiratory infection, eye infection, and i had to treat every cat for butt worms.

 It was a lot. When Prudey was a spicey little 5 week kitten, she crawled into bed with me and curled up against my neck and it was a done deal.

 Now i have a pigeon in here and a man who knows i come with these kinds of problems lol

I couldn't bring our cat to Singapore. That was disappointing.
