That looks like pastry, not bread.

Not pastry, it's bread... sometimes it sponge cake by people who are clueless about Bee Stings and use sponge cake.

You might be thinking of Vanilla Slices which is custard between pastry with a icing on top.



I don't like these very much because when you bite them, the custard squishes out so I avoid them.
