Saw that. It surprised me. UK case numbers are very high,

albeit their death / case assessed over previous 10 weeks is consistently the best in the world

Perhaps because the death rate is so low and vaccination rates so high, Britain wants to move away from pandemic mode.

That does appear to be the case.

Seems they are unwilling to let the unvaxxed dictate strategy .. and in effect are sacrificing them

or put more correctly, allowing the unvaxxed to continue to sacrifice themselves

In fact, I now consistently find UK at approx.  0.25% or 1 in 377 cases

To compare, we are 0.46% or 1 in 218 cases

You guys, previously the leader until this latest round are 0.54% or 1 in 184cases

Canada as a whole is 0.71% or 1 in 140 ... mainly as Ontario is not good (1.58%) .. not sure why ?????

Quebec, previously the worse is now doing very well in that area

They're no longer punishing the majority who are vaccintated.

A man died after he couldn't get a cardiac ICU bed in 43 U.S. hospitals due to pandemic, family says

Ray DeMonia wasn't seeking COVID-19 treatment when he arrived at an Alabama hospital with heart problems.

But the 73-year-old became an indirect victim of COVID-19 patients filling hospitals and ICU beds.

The cardiac patient from Cullman, Alabama, died in a Mississippi hospital about 200 miles (320 kilometres) from his home because there were no cardiac ICU beds nearby, his daughter Raven DeMonia told The Washington Post.

In DeMonia's obituary, the family pleaded for everyone to get vaccinated to prevent others from being denied care due to a lack of resources.

"In honor of Ray, please get vaccinated if you have not, in an effort to free up resources for non COVID related emergencies," the obituary read.

"Due to COVID 19, CRMC emergency staff contacted 43 hospitals in 3 states in search of a Cardiac ICU bed and finally located one in Meridian, MS. He would not want any other family to go through what his did."

[This what is is going on everywhere .... unvaxxed are filling hospitals (just about everywhere)

If they won't take a shot from a needle, I have an alternative type of shot in mind for them
]

Example: Alberta with a population of only 4.3 M averaged of close to 1,600 new cases / day over past 3 days & are filling hospitals

mostly & driven by mouthy  unvaxxed self-centered Neanderthals of course  :sdfjh(2):

It's terrifying']

A Toronto hospital where protesters denouncing COVID-19 measures rallied Monday afternoon said such demonstrations are demoralizing for health-care workers who have cared for patients infected with the virus despite the risk to themselves and their families.

TORONTO -- Two police officers escorted Faye Doiron and Randy Longaphie as they left Toronto General Hospital on Monday, helping the pair make their way through a crowd of protesters denouncing pandemic measures.

Doiron, who came to Toronto from Prince Edward Island to wait for a lung transplant, was leaving after a physiotherapy session at the hospital, with Longaphie, her cousin, pushing her wheelchair.

The crowd of largely unmasked demonstrators parted slowly but peacefully to let them through as one officer led the way and another walked behind them.

"It's terrifying," Doiron said. "Doctors told me if I ever catch COVID, I won't make it."

Alberta and Saskatchewan have lower vaccination rates than Manitoba. But, vaccination rates are still high in both provinces. I don't know why corona is exploding West of us.

Albertans will be able to print card-size copies of their COVID-19 vaccination records starting Sept. 16, the government announced Tuesday.

The same information will be available to show on phones and tablets, the province said in a news release.

71% of Albertans are fully vaccinated.

I´m thinking the fully vaccinated people are still carriers.

And they are super spreading the disease.

And then the effects of the vaccination wears down.
