My son's girlfriend takes her coffee double double. You can't even taste the coffee. It's all sugar and cream.

Lol my mom is the same too, I tried taking some coffee from her cup before, has no flavor and tasted like diluted of syrup.

I get the jitters on most caffeine these days and reflux but I can stomach a weak long black no sugar or cream.... steeped coffee bags and not that caustic instant coffee shit.



Otherwise I drink Dilmah green tea with jasmine.... which is easy on the gut.

I guess all they really want is to drink sweetened milk and the caffeine is an excuse?



I can sort of understand why someone would dilute hot brewed coffee though.

If I had any complaints about it myself it would be that hot brewed; instant, pre-ground, self-ground, or even pods; always has at least some acidity and bitterness.

That's why I prefer cold brewed if it's an option.

Coffee shops are super popular in Asia, They serve coffee so strong it would make Starbucks shit taste like coloured water. However, at home they like instant. Weird.

My own experience was something like:



"Holy shit, is this even coffee? Where's the bite and the aftertaste? Can I have some more?!?"



The difference was that noticeable.

Same here.  I've never had any interest in even trying it.  If I want a cold drink I'll have tea or beer.
