I have to say the US police should be doing this.  Antifa and BLM were able to crowd, intimidate, and trying to resist arrest with these sorts of tactics but the French police easily shut them down by putting the rioters on their asses.

She aint no mayor, but AOC is a windbag hypocrite.

According to the Federal Election Commission reports, AOC is among the biggest spenders on personal security. Worse, she is not alone in her hypocrisy, as pointed out by Dorothy Moses Schulz, via the New York Post.

Minnesota's Ilhan Omar, Massachusetts's Ayanna Pressley and Missouri's Cori Bush are also among the most ardent advocates of defunding the police — yet drop some of the largest dollars on making sure they themselves are protected.

House Republicans are contemplating legislation that would eliminate Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas's salary in response to mistrust over the failure to enforce the U.S. Southern border.

The hypocrisy on the left is so blatant. The media of course is not holding their feet to the fire.

Gal Luft, 57, a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen and co-director of the think tank Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, has been charged with arms trafficking, making false statements to federal agents, willfully failing to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), and Iranian sanctions violations.

Mr. Luft is alleged to have conspired with others to act in China's interest, including recruiting and paying a former high ranking U.S. government official to support policies beneficial to China.

He is also charged with conspiracy and attempt to sell arms illegally to Chinese individuals and companies, to sell aerial bombs and rockets to the United Arab Emirates, to sell Chinese weapons to Kenya, and to sell Iranian oil in violation of sanctions.

Mr. Luft was initially arrested on Feb. 17 in the Republic of Cyprus, but fled after being released on bail. If indicted on all eight counts, Mr. Luft faces a maximum prison sentence of 100 years (pdf).

"As alleged, the defendant engaged in multiple schemes to evade sanctions and laws intended to protect our national security," stated FBI Acting Assistant Director in Charge Christie M. Curtis.

Mr. Luft is also known for being a potential witness in investigations into Hunter Biden's financial dealings. From an undisclosed location, Mr. Luft filmed a 14 minute video shared with New York Post claiming his innocence and knowledge of Hunter Biden's alleged dealings in China.

Mr. Luft had been an advisor to CEFC China Energy, and told FBI prosecutors in Brussels in 2019 that CEFC had given Mr. Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden monthly payments of $100,000 and $65,000 in exchange for using their names to promote Chinese business interests, according to the Post.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) said on Fox News recently that Mr. Luft should have the opportunity to testify on this case before Congress.

"He's an important witness," Mr. Johnson said.

Republican lawmakers have introduced a bill seeking to strengthen election integrity and boost voter confidence in American elections by implementing measures like requiring voter ID in some cases and ensuring that only U.S. citizens can vote in federal elections.

House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-Wis.) introduced the American Confidence in Elections (ACE) Act on Monday.

The legislation "makes the biggest legislative effort in a generation to protect political speech in a climate where Democrats are doing everything in their power to determine 'truth' and silence conservative voices," the bill summary states.

The bill makes it clear that it's a felony offense for a noncitizen to vote in a federal election and asks the Department of Homeland Security, the Social Security Administration, and other relevant federal agencies to provide voter data to states at no cost so that noncitizens and deceased voters can be removed from voter rolls.

States would be empowered to remove noncitizens from voter rolls immediately without a blackout period.

States that allow noncitizens to vote in state and local elections would have to maintain separate ballots for those races in case they coincide with a federal election, but they would also receive 30 percent less federal funding for election expenses under the Help America Vote Act (HAVA).

I honestly think 2024 will be a Democrat blow out if Trump is the Republican nominee.  Independents hate Trump and they decide elections.  Trump is literally the only candidate Biden can beat.

If 2024 becomes a democRAT blowout, thats cheating. I know democRATs in California that think Trump is being persecuted. Hell, I know some in Illinois that feel the same way.

I have no faith in the integrity of elections.  I live in Illinois.

Mayra Flores, a staunch and conservative Republican, had a short stay in Congress, in the House of Representatives, and she is committed to returning to Washington D.C. and Capitol Hill.

Ms. Flores, 37, seeks to regain the seat she held representing the Texas 34th congressional district, which is located in the southern part of Texas and encompasses a stretch of the Gulf Coast and points inland.

Born in Mexico to migrant workers, Ms. Flores and her family moved to the United States when she was six years old.  She became a U.S. citizen when she was 14.

Trump's massive lead among Republicans and those leading Republican has slipped slightly.

The June survey showed that Trump had a 31-point lead over DeSantis in the GOP primary (51 to 20 percent), with no other Republican candidate in the crowded field, such as former vice president Mike Pence or former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, getting more than 4 percent.

Trump's lead in the GOP primary has also fallen slightly between the two polls when broken down into just registered Republican or Republican-leaning independent voters.

In the July poll of 502 registered voters, 48 percent said Trump was their preferred 2024 GOP candidate, with DeSantis 26 points behind on 22 percent. In June, Trump's lead over DeSantis with registered GOP voters was 30 points (51 to 21 percent).
