The Ohio Express was technically formed in 1967 in Mansfield, Ohio. I say "technically" because like putting the cart before the horse, the songs came before the band.  The band you see in this video was originally Sir Timothy & The Royals.  They were hired and their name changed to do live appearances as Ohio Express.
