Quote from: "RW"I just want to point out that it's INTERNATIONAL women's day.  You look at us and we have it pretty decent in term of gender privledge and equality but there are places that are still hacking of girl's clitorises and marrying 13 year olds off to older men.  They can't drive or vote or leave the house without looking like a shuttlecock.

Today is the day to keep them in mind.

True enough!!

I don't think that it's too much of a stretch to say that in certain parts of this fucked up world men are responsible for more female deaths than cancer.

How is the average woman here supposed to recognize IWD. How many are even aware of International Women's Day?

I didn't know until Mr. C mentioned it.

Quote from: "Renee"I sincerely think men are the bane of the human existence (generally). But I don't know how much of this is due to the biological nature of those who identify as male or the nurturing they receive from society.

Look at EVERY social dysfunction around the world. What is at the root of it? MALE EGO.

Right.

Single mothers. Feminism. The rising tide of female violence. Reverse sexism. Abandoned children.

Women have nothing to do with these social calamities, eh?

Listen, Brumhilda, I recognise men have cause grief, and in backward, prehistoric cultures such as islam contine to treat women like cattle.

I recognise it is wrong.

But in their dominance, much of the world around you is as a result of male leadership and courage, not to mention inventiveness and entrepreneurship.

Women seemed to have no problem sitting on their chuffs while men went out and brought home the bacon. Sometimes it was a LOT of bacon, and you gold diggers had no problem making sure you got your slice. And still do. I see Jerry Hall just married Rupert Murdoch. Tis a pity she's a whore.

You baby makers are so fixated on being female, you forget that the world around you is still largely built by males. I don's see too many women on building sites and road works. They're too busy breeding more brats so they get bigger welfare checks.

The next time you get in your car, to drive on a road to a store to buy food, try to bear in mind that all of those commodities are made primarily by males.

You build it and we populate it with our uteri.  Don't you forget which sex you were birthed from boy.

Not only that but gender rolls have been laid down and practically carved in stone since pre-biblical times. Men have ruled over this world with violence and aggression since they fought with sticks. It's only the latter half of the 20th century that women have achieve even a modicum of gender equality.

I can't help but think that if social and cultural rolls had been reversed from the beginning, this world would be better off.

We wouldn't have a world, dumbshit.

It took brawn and daring to build what we have today.

Name a building or other structure built by women. A road. A mechanical device. An electronic device. An aircraft.

If women had to lead the march, we'd still be in caves, eating nuts and berries. Oh and rolls. Dumbass.
