The speaker you'll see here is biology professor Heather Heying, wife of professor Bret Weinstein. Both Heying and Weinstein left Evergreen State College as part of a settlement deal last year. Heying was making a point about physiological differences between men and women. "Are men taller than women on average?" Heying asked rhetorically. She added, "Does anyone take offense at that fact?"

"So I would say you could be irritated by it," Heying said. She continued, "You could be irritated by the fact that women have to be the ones that gestate and lactate. You could be irritated by a lot of truths but taking offense is a response that is a rejection of reality."

But before she had even finished her statement, a group of students got up and walked out of the room. As Heying continued to talk about physiological differences between men and women, there was a loud commotion in the back of the room. One of the protesters apparently damaged the sound system on the way out.

At this point, a camera out in the lobby area shows a small group of protesters, one of whom (the girl with purple hair) is led to a seat by a police officer. There are some cuts in the video but she is clearly agitated and says at one point, "Even the women in there have been brainwashed." She shouts "F**k the police" as she exits a few moments later.

Another protester in the lobby says, "You should not listen to fascism. It should not be tolerated in civil society. Nazis are not welcome in civil society." I guess that explains the urge to wreck the sound system. The far left is all about silencing its opponents by any means necessary.

Needless to say, these speakers are not Nazis. As is often the case with campus SJWs, they don't seem to know much of anything about the people they're protesting (and aren't interested in learning). The good news here is that only a handful of students were set off by an acknowledgment of anatomical facts (like the average height of men vs. women). Most of the people in the room were able to handle it.

The SJW's are still in the minority, even in Portland, what's worrisome is that they seem to be gaining strength rather than slinking away in embarrassment. This video includes the entire panel discussion but I'm queuing it up to the portion just before the disruption.
Bricktop

I wonder if any of these snowflakes watch themselves on Youtube and cringe in humiliation and embarrassment.

You know what? They would be proud of themselves for doing the right ... oops, I mean left thing. That's how bad it all is out there today

Angry White Male

These snowflakes seem to have an elevated sense of self-esteem.  It can explain why they carry on doing what they do.

I would imagine an elevated sense of self-esteem comes from both the parenting side, and the educational side these days.

It leads to nothing good, an elevated sense of self esteem.  People simply need to know when they're dumb, and then to cut it out.  That's how things and people used to be.  Something has changed in the last few decades.

That would have been an easy way to kill me back in the day.

Whatever thread they are in, nazis just can't stop themselves ^^

http://boston.cbslocal.com/2018/03/15/massachusetts-state-house-general-hooker-michelle-dubois/">Dem Lawmaker Wants 'General Hooker' Sign Removed From Massachusetts State House

A Massachusetts state lawmaker wants to censor references to a man who scored Civil War era wins against the Confederacy. Her reasoning? That man's name is Joseph Hooker.

As we're all aware, General Hooker's last name became slang for "someone who has sex for money." Today, "hooker" is widely considered a slur by folks in the sex-work community. Yet as far as I'm aware, there have't been any sex worker campaigns to remove references to Joseph Hooker from public view—presumably because most well-adjusted people realize that words have different meanings in different contexts.

"There are all sorts of benign words in our language that sound like words unfit for polite company," writes Jon Keller at CBS Boston, offering Uranus and clap as further examples. "And they offer us an opportunity to teach snickering kids about Civil War history or outer space—and about showing respect for others while avoiding making fools of ourselves."

State Rep. Michelle DuBois (D-Plymouth) disagrees. She has been calling for the removal of a statehouse sign that reads "General Hooker Entrance" (so inscribed because it stands opposite a statue of General Hooker), which she described as an affront to "women's dignity."

"Female staffers don't use that entrance because the sign is offensive to them," DuBois told WBZ-TV's David Robichaud.
