A lot of people tend to see me that way, but TBH I see myself as a Classical Liberal in most respects, which makes me essentially more of a fiscal libertarian.  I was a lot more comfortable with this label in the mid-20th century, of course, before the corporatists took over the US government.  



But these days, it's only a binary political system in minor respects since there is so little difference between neocons and neolibs.  The Dem party has lost much of its base by abandoning the Old Left, and the Repub party has kept its base by pandering to the reactionary monstrosity that brings enough votes to keep it in power.



It is a difficult time to be American and live in a system that has no ethical or moral compass.
