So how it works in Canada, is ammo is kept behind counters or behind locked cabinets.  You are checked for a valid license before you are handed/sold the ammo.  You can't just grab a box and look at it like you would a can of paint or whatever...

Canadian Tire is weird, as they will change their ammo offerings on a regular basis.  No doubt they will buy and stock the common brands that sell, but also what they can get for cheap too, and sometimes that cycles from time to time.

So today I see "Sumbro" ammo beside the Remington stuff that I bought.  Sumbro?  I have never heard of this shit!

So, of course the employee is right there, as she had to open the cabinet for me.  I look at this 'Sumbro' shit, just to see where it's made, but was having a hard time reading the fine print (my eyes).

She lends me her reading glasses as she could see I was struggling, and I can then see it's made in Macedonia.  I pronounce it "Mack-a-Donia."  I'm an idiot!  She eventually casually corrected me by pronouncing it "Mass-a-Donia."  I gave her her reading glasses back, and was schooled by a retail store employee...  I put that ammo back, as I don't run shit that I've never heard of.

Not the highest point in my life, but I'll tell you this!  She was probably close to 20 years my senior, but still had a Grade-A physique!  This is rare to see!

If I was 20 years older, I may have hit on that, and I don't joke!

U can't fool me. Long story short, and straight to the point,

I Google searched them...  Apparently it's really crappy stuff!  Good thing I never bought any.  Then again, I generally won't buy ammo brands I've never heard of, especially ones made in countries I don't even know how to pronounce!

Yeah Mel, Macedonia...You know, that place where Alexander the Great came from?.... ac_umm  Still think you are "smarter than the average bear"...eh?

Well, given the events of your little story, you have now entered the level of stupidity that was once exclusively around here the domain of SCOUSE. A person so God damn, window licking, dumb that he didn't even know the meaning of the word "magnanimous" and was too intellectually lazy to look it up.

Unfortunately you can't fix stupid, so you're fucked.. :laugh3:

English is a tough language...

How can Macadamia and Macedonia have a completely different "c" sound?  I know why it is, but WHY!

WHY must this be?

Au Contraire, my chubby little friend.

You must understand that I essentially schooled myself.  The fact that I can even communicate effectively with people surprises me!

I am always learning...  During my many bar talks with my favourite bar server at the Indian Casino in Oregon, I can now pronounce Oregon 100% correctly, unlike many Americans!

Also remember that my first language was German.  I didn't learn English until I entered Kindergarten.  This was because my parents were deadbeats and didn't want me, so I grew up at that time with my Grandparents, where German was almost exclusively spoken in the household.
