I think that's an Asian woman thing. They carry umbrellas in Japan, Korea and China to keep the sun off of them in the summer.

I was always told it was Cherokee, but recently one of the family members thinks it Sioux. Either way, you can for sure see the Indian in a lot of my family. And we are super tan in the summer. Winter my Irish kicks in I turn white again
