They are a domestic duck breed.

It does look tasty. I have never seen them at the lake until now. There were 3 of them. I think someone released them in purpose. The mandarin duck was spotted at the lake on Nov 28th. Wanted to photograph one but couldn't find it. It was raining bad. My camera and lense were soaked.

Yes he is. That's why they stick to the lower 1/3 of Australia, it's cooler.
