At least one migrant caravan group is reportedly willing to go home — if the U.S. pays each member $50,000. Otherwise, they are expecting immediate entry to the U.S., according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

According to the group's spokesman, the $50,000 figure would be a nice tidy sum with which to start a new business in Honduras. They also want deportations to end and speedier service from the immigration authorities.

The migrants approached the U.S. consulate in Tijuana, Mexico with its dictate at 11 a.m Monday. Spokesman Alfonso Guerreo Ulloa said the monetary demand should not shock anyone.

This is extortion.

@realAzhyaAryola

I have not read the article but will later. The title itself stopped me in my tracks. What audacity.

And no doubt the prog financiers of this caravan will get a cut.

How about a belt of M1 rounds over your heads...the second payment aimed a little lower down.

If one of them is allowed to cross the border, the agent responsible should be fired.

What has America stolen from the Honduras? And weren't they giving them funds until all this happened?  Where did the funds go?

These people should stand up to their government and not ask another country for money.  50g is nothing and wont last long anyway.

Justine would pay them whatever they demanded.

Would a cut of each fake migrant's fifty grand go back to the leftists who are financing the caravan. I would not put it past them.

Each migrant's passage can cost as much as $7K each. Per capita income in Honduras is $2.3 K.

A caravan in April was funded by Pueblo Sin Fronteras (People Without Borders), which is a project of La Familia Latina Unida, a Chicago, Illinois-based 501(c)(4) illegal immigration advocacy group.

If it's an American group paying somebody to come and break the law. That's called aiding and abetting, and that's a crime.

Vice President Mike Pence said Tuesday during a forum hosted by The Washington Post that Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez told him the caravan "was organized by leftist groups in Honduras and financed by Venezuela."
