Quote from: "cc"If still nearby, they will be found

However, if they got through and took off for far away places, it's another ballgame

On foot in the woods, how far could they go.

They must have some supplies and tools on hand or they would not have survived this long.

cc

All good points. Only a stolen vehicle could get them out .. and I'm guessin the few roads and watched roads in the area  would make escape impossible

When were they last seen or known to be? How long ago?

They left with at least one firearm, and likely survival goods..

I know at least one boy was a survivalist, but I also wonder if they planned this murder spree.

If they are not found around Gillam, Manitoba now than they managed to flee that community.

cc

Yes, they are either local to Gillam and about to get caught .. or got out of the area and no one has any idea where they are

Even if local, survivalist training and the serious mentality that drives it can make catching them  very difficult

Bricktop

It must be a bit like the Australian outback...big and empty and easy to hide in.

QuoteBuggy, boggy and brutal: Area of northern Manitoba search is unforgiving, experts say

The harsh northern Manitoba terrain where police are looking for two fugitives wanted in connection with the deaths of three people in British Columbia will spit out anybody who is unprepared, people with knowledge of the area say.

The bush is thick, and the land is swampy and teeming with insects, they say of the wooded area around Gillam, Man.

"If you don't have the means to be in there, you're not going to make it," said William Hunter, who once battled forest fires in the unforgiving landscape.

It's muskeg country just like Northern Saskatchewan. If they have tons of insect repellent, they might survive a little while longer. But, I wonder if they stowed away on a train or truck heading South.

Could happen or could have already happened.

Certainly that would be their only hope for escape.

How do people survive in the town and especially the area around it? There's a limit to how much spray one can use

No sightings around Gillam. They got out of Dodge.
