It cannot be  corona virus .. it can only be "a"  corona virus

There are many viruses meeting the definition of corona virus .. real and theoretical .. thus, a specific term was badly needed

Coronaviruses are common throughout the world. ... Five different coronaviruses can infect people and make them sick. ... Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

the world commonly get infected with human coronaviruses 229E, NL63, OC43, and HKU1. ... Three recent examples of this are 2019-nCoV, SARS-CoV, and MERS-CoV.

Coronaviruses are a type of virus. There are many different kinds, and some cause disease.  ...A newly identified type has caused a recent outbreak of respiratory illness now called COVID-19 that started in China.

Sounds like Chinese Govt talk

Or the same twits that think 9/11 was an inside job.

9/11 buildings came down from being detonated. Most of the Engineers agree.

So, I've been to the shops in my sleepy little rural hamlet and I was shocked... not about the hand sanitizer and toilet paper shortage... there's still none of that back on the shelves (although for the adventurous, they placed 6 boxes of Eucalyptus infused Kleenex on the TP shelves)...  :laugh3: You'd not want to wipe too vigorously!

I was surprised by the number of cheap grade meats filling up the shelves where the choicer cuts would be... and not much of it... there's been a run on bulk chicken wings, drumsticks, pretty much everything except mince (hamburger) which they've put 5 times the normal amount out... the meat section looked like it had reverted back 50 years in selections... I was looking around to see where the lamb's fry and kidney was going to be piled up...

...the non-perishable aisles have lots of empty holes in them, and the pasta has been ransacked with only a tenth of the normal volume in it, and not much variety... flour and sugar mostly gone... tinned vegetables sporadic...

...then we get to the vegetable section... no truss tomatoes at all, and a few rotting hydroponic ones left... broccoli gone... cauliflower in a bad state, bags of carrots nearly gone, potatoes taking a hit, but plenty of onions and fruit for some reason...

Lots of bananas, uncharacteristically a lot of bananas, but all very yellow and ready to go off in another day or two.

There's definitely supply chain and sourcing issues going off right now, and that supermarket is trying to gloss it over... I suspect that as people are trying to buy extra, but with many living month to month with mortgages and credit card payments, they're trying to get the most bang for their buck and going for the cheapest way to add to their freezers... which is smart but not in this area as we're approaching winter and our storms knock out power regularly for a day to three... sure, the power company cuts checks for food spoilage after awhile, but not for fully stocked deep freezers....and if the supply chain can't rectify the shortages in the future, there are going to be some not too happy chappy's and chappettes...  ac_biggrin
