Hmmm .. noticed one we all know was pushing 0.1% fatal yesterday on "the other" site

My proving he was out by 55 X over using current  US numbers  had no effect. I was so surprised

What else is new? They will never listen nor change no matter what

Seems the only thing they think could ever get them is falling off the edge of the earth

BTW - by what method were they spreading it??

Did you take into consideration any of the new data that is being brought out? Using Los Angeles new data, and you just figure on a round number of 250,000, using your 5 percent there should have been around 12,500 deaths instead of just over 600.
Quote from: "kiebers"
QuoteUSC and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health on Monday released preliminary results from a collaborative scientific study that suggests infections from the new coronavirus are far more widespread — and the fatality rate much lower — in L.A. County than previously thought. The results are from the first round of an ongoing study by USC researchers and county health officials. They will be conducting antibody testing over time on a series of representative samples of adults to determine the scope and spread of the pandemic across the county.

Based on the results of the first round of testing, the research team estimates that approximately 4.1% of the county's adult population has an antibody to the virus. Adjusting this estimate for the statistical margin of error implies about 2.8% to 5.6% of the county's adult population has an antibody to the virus — which translates to approximately 221,000 to 442,000 adults in the county who have been infected. That estimate is 28 to 55 times higher than the 7,994 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the county at the time of the study in early April. The number of COVID-related deaths in the county has now surpassed 600.

"We haven't known the true extent of COVID-19 infections in our community because we have only tested people with symptoms, and the availability of tests has been limited," said lead investigator Neeraj Sood, professor of public policy at the USC Price School for Public Policy and senior fellow at the USC Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics. "The estimates also suggest that we might have to recalibrate disease prediction models and rethink public health strategies."

Since we only test people with symptoms, a hell of a lot more people have this virus than we know about. The true fatality rate is probably comparable to the seasonal flu.

There must be a hell of a lot of people with antibodies for COVID.

I know people that refuse the flu vaccine every year. I get the flu vaccine and I will be getting the coronavirus vaccine when it is available.

Anonymous

I get the flu shot every year, and I'll be lined up to get the coronavirus vaccine the day it's available.....that is if I haven't caught it and recovered by the time it's available.

kiebers

I have gotten the flu shot twice in the past. Got the flu from it both times. I no longer get the flu shot.

Wife got it in December last year. Took her to the Dr. Got her meds and the Dr allowed me to go ahead and get the meds. I took them for a few days and never got it. I'm not an anti vaxxer but I will pass on the flu. Not sure how I will feel about a vaccine for covid. Wait for it to come out I suppose and make the decision then.

I don't want to catch the coronavirus, but if I do I'm certain I'll make a full recovery if I show any symptoms. TVG is being totally irrational. If he catches it and has symptoms, he'll recover and then he can go back to work. Oh wait, maybe he's like Mel and likes being on EI/CERB.

No, he said he left his job because he's terrified of catching this virus.

Oh course, he can be as paranoid of catching as he wants..

But, he'll make a full recovery if he shows symptoms at all.
