Trump will lose and the US will remain dependent on China for vital medical supplies. Biden is as much a CCP stooge as Justine is.

Coronavirus: Trudeau rejects 'oil is dead' claim from Greens, Bloc Quebecois

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he rejects the claim made by Green and Bloc Quebecois leaders that "oil is dead" and should get no further government support amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Trudeau was asked Thursday by by Global News, during a daily press briefing outside Rideau Cottage, about the remarks made on Wednesday by Green Party parliamentary leader Elizabeth May and Bloc Quebecois leader Yves-Francois Blanchet, and whether he shared their assessments of the industry.

"I don't share that assessment," he said.

"I know that if we are to move forward in transforming our economy towards lower emissions and clean processes, workers and innovators in Alberta and across the country in the energy sector are going to be an essential part of that transition."

We are trying to bring jobs and industries back from China. What do the BQ and Greens want? Kill our own energy sources and Import energy components from China using their finite rare earth metals.

It's crazy, but I'm not surprised..

Does the BQ forget last year's CN strike when they came dangerously close to running out of propane.

Canada finally backs Taiwan's application to get observer status at the WHO.

Not good enough. They deserve membership as a state. They set the bar in responding to COVID-19. If they were a full member, the China toady head of WHO would have had to respond when they notified that UN organization about the virus in December.

cc

Agreed. They deserve FULL membership ... always did for that matter

Then, it's the CPP's  puppet

But, observer status would be a start.

While the fact that it was communicable did come out from China and WHO on Jan. 21, WHO didn't call it a pandemic until March 11 and they were definitely downplaying it on Jan. 21.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Chinese leader Xi Jinping (習近平) asked World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to suppress news about the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the German intelligence agency BND found, according to a report by German magazine Der Spiegel.

During a conversation on Jan. 21, Xi reportedly asked Tedros not to announce that the virus could be transmitted between humans and to delay any declaration of a coronavirus pandemic.

It took until the end of January before the WHO declared the coronavirus outbreak needed to receive international attention.

There is well-documented evidence that China tried to cover up the spread of the coronavirus, muzzle whistleblowers, intimidate doctors, mislead the WHO, and block outside health experts. At least one study indicated that if the Chinese government had acted more quickly, the coronavirus's global spread would have been greatly reduced.

Reports show Chinese doctors knew around late December and early January that human-to-human transmission of the coronavirus was almost certainly occurring, and the Chinese government silenced medical professionals who attempted to go public. Yet the WHO tweeted on Jan. 14 that "preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission."

EDIT - Reply here as we are running out of page

And T stopped China flights around the end of January - Still progs babble he was slow

Communist China Threatens An 80 Per Cent Import Tax On Australian Produce In Retaliation For Aussie Call For Chinese Virus Inquiry

China has threatened to cripple Australia's barley industry amid rising diplomatic tensions between Beijing and Canberra over calls for a coronavirus inquiry.

China's Ministry of Commerce has threatened to slap an 80 per cent import tariff on barley imports as Australia refuses to retract its demand for an independent investigation into the origins of the coronavirus outbreak.

China's Incestuous Relationship with the WHO Might Be Worse Than We Originally Thought

Since the Wuhan coronavirus became a pandemic, we have learned more and more about China's incestuous relationship with the World Health Organization (WHO). When Taiwan attempted to blow the whistle on the virus that was raging on in China, the WHO turned their back and acted as though nothing was going on. In late January, the WHO parrotted the Chinese Communist Party's talking points, particularly that the Wuhan coronavirus was not transmitted from human-to-human. And the WHO knew they were wrong for ignoring Taiwan, which is why Bruce Alyward, the senior advisor to Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, hung up a Skype call with a reporter when asked about that very warning.

When President Donald Trump wanted to halt flights from China to the United States, the WHO advised against it [sic No excuse on that one - flights are not in WHO's jib description]. Of course, we've learned since then that it was the single best decision the president made during this crisis.

But now, it's looking like the relationship between the Chinese regime and the WHO goes much further than we once anticipated. President Xi Jinping personally asked Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to delay publishing vital information about the Wuhan coronavirus, the Daily Caller reported.

Specifically, Xi wanted the WHO to not tell the world that the coronavirus was transmitted from person-to-person, the BND, German's Federal Intelligence Service, concluded.

"The BND's verdict is harsh: At least four, if not six, weeks have been lost in Beijing's information policy in the fight against the virus," German magazine Der Spiegel reported.

This information is consistent with the recently leaked "Five Eyes" intelligence alliance – made up of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand – that shows China purposefully hid and/or destroyed evidence about the Wuhan coronavirus. Specifically, the alliance said the Chinese Communist Party's cover-up can be described as an "assault on international transparency."

If what the intelligence agencies around the world believe is in fact true, China prevented the world from having four to six weeks to prepare for the spread of the virus. Leaders in each country could have done more to protect their citizens, and there would have been a greater likelihood the virus would be contained to China, if not Wuhan.

China Task Force Leader Says China And WHO Broke International Law During Coronavirus Outbreak

The chairman of the House's China task force believes that China violated international health rules through a coronavirus cover-up and that the World Health Organization failed to follow its own guidelines.

Texas Rep. Michael McCaul, the top GOP member on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told the Washington Examiner that "we must hold the Chinese Communist Party and WHO Director-General Tedros accountable to prevent another pandemic from China to reach our shores."

McCaul, leading an investigation of Chinese malfeasance, said China's 2003 failure to "alert the world" properly to the SARS outbreak foreshadowed its handling of the coronavirus, which has killed more than 282,000 people worldwide. "Even more troubling" this time, McCaul said, was that "the organization meant to implement these rules, the WHO, blindly followed the CCP delaying necessary action to protect people around the globe."

The WHO's 58th World Health Assembly unanimously revised the International Health Regulations in 2005, including "a scope not limited to any specific disease or manner of transmission, but covering illness ... irrespective of origin or source, that presents or could present significant harm to humans." The legally binding rules placed obligations on 194 countries to "notify WHO of events that may constitute a public health emergency of international concern."

The new WHO regulations stemmed from China botching its response to the outbreak of the severe acute respiratory syndrome. As with COVID-19, China was aware of the deadly new pneumonia for months but concealed it. SARS spread to 29 countries, killed at least 774 people, and infected thousands.

China detected a new and unknown SARS-like coronavirus in late December, but Beijing appears to have failed to report evidence within the 24-hour mandate and acknowledged only a "pneumonia of unknown cause" to WHO in early January.

There is evidence that China covered up the coronavirus's spread, muzzled whistleblowers, intimidated doctors, misled the WHO, and blocked outside health experts.

McCaul's office argued that China violated Articles 6 and 7 of the IHR about how countries must report disease outbreaks when it came to the coronavirus outbreak. Article 7 mandates swift "information-sharing" by countries "if a State Party has evidence of an unexpected or unusual public health event within its territory, irrespective of origin or source, which may constitute a public health emergency of international concern."

Does anybody besides Justin Trudeau trust the WHO to lead in this pandemic.
