State Department Releases Blueprint to Combat Threats From Chinese Regime



he U.S. State Department recently issued a paper outlining China's threats to the international order and how to combat them.



It warned that the CCP seeks to "replace the established international order grounded in free and sovereign nation-states with a unity of nations in shared deference to the CCP's interpretation of international socialism."



The report cites as examples Beijing's collection of data via intrusive technology; intellectual property theft; militarization of the South China Sea to stake territorial claims; crushing of freedoms in Hong Kong; and predatory business deals via Belt and Road investment projects.



The Chinese regime wields its economic prowess to coerce countries into doing its bidding and "make the societies and politics of foreign nations more accommodating to CCP specifications," the report says.



The State Department also noted that the regime in Beijing is developing "a world-class military to rival and eventually surpass the U.S. military," according to the paper.



The paper determined that the United States' initial hope that engaging economically with the Chinese regime would propel the country to adopt political liberalization didn't come true. Instead, the Chinese regime developed into a powerful "Marxist-Leninist dictatorship" that seeks to influence other countries to serve "Beijing's authoritarian goals," it said.



Despite China's aggression, the report explains that the CCP has notable weaknesses, some "endemic to autocracy," such as constraints on innovation, economic instability, corruption, and difficulties forming and maintaining alliances.

McKinsey Under Pressure for Its China Ties



WASHINGTON—Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) sent a letter dated Nov. 13 to the prestigious U.S. consulting firm McKinsey & Co., asking about its relationship with the Chinese regime.



Headquartered in New York City, the consulting company has offices in more than 130 cities across 65 countries, including China.



In the letter, Rubio raised concerns about the firm's business dealings with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including state-owned and state-run enterprises in China. He also raised questions as to whether the U.S. government should continue to work with McKinsey.



The firm provides strategy and management consulting services to the world's leading corporations, governments, and nongovernment organizations.



"I remain concerned that McKinsey & Company—either wittingly or unwittingly—is aiding the CCP's attempt to supplant the United States and remake the international community in its own image," Rubio stated in the letter, which was addressed to Kevin Sneader, the company's global managing partner.



"We must ensure that firms working on behalf of the United States Government and U.S. companies are putting America's interests first. McKinsey's inability to provide clear, direct answers only exacerbates those concerns and raises serious questions as to whether our government—including the Intelligence Community—should continue to use McKinsey's services."

"China has a 5,000 year history of cheating and stealing. Some things will never change...," Blackburn tweeted Thursday morning, prompting Chen, who is also the Deputy Editor of China Daily USA, to hurl derogatory remarks at her.



"This is the most racist and ignorant US Senator I have seen," Chen replied on Twitter. "A lifetime bitch."



In another response, Chen simply called Blackburn a "bitch."



Other responses also accused Blackburn of being racist, with The Daily Beast's editor-at-large Molly Jong-Fast writing that it "is racism" and suggesting she "delete it and apologize."



Chen has previously written obscene tweets, such as when German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on Saturday congratulated President-elect Joe Biden in November. Maas brought up China as one challenge he hoped the countries could "solve."



"The fucking Maas," Chen wrote in a tweet that he later deleted before writing that "I can see nothing but hate for China from Maas. It only applies to him."

This network was led mainly by members of the pro-CCP communist group Liberation Road (formerly known as Freedom Road Socialist Organization), their sister group LeftRoots, and allies in the Communist Party USA and Democratic Socialists of America.



Many of the Liberation Road/LeftRoots members involved are tied to the Chinese Progressive Association of San Francisco (CPA), which has used mass voter registration tactics to dominate Bay Area politics for many years.



Many of the comrades are also heavily involved in Black Lives Matter. Some also have deep ties to CCP operatives in San Francisco.



The network targeted seven key states and mobilized at least 12,000 volunteers. Their voter registration and Get Out The Vote operations probably made the critical difference in several key states—or at least gave Biden enough votes to more easily disguise alleged massive Democratic Party fraud. Several network members have openly claimed credit for winning their respective state for Biden.

Chinese Professor Pleads Guilty to Lying to FBI in Huawei-Related Case



A Chinese professor accused by U.S. prosecutors of helping steal American technology to benefit China's Huawei Technologies Co Ltd on Dec. 4 pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, but is expected to be allowed to return home after prosecutors decided not to pursue a more serious charge.



The professor, Bo Mao, had been charged with conspiring to defraud Silicon Valley's CNEX Labs and faced up to 20 years behind bars. He was a visiting professor at the University of Texas when he was arrested in August 2019.



Mao, 37, pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of making a false statement in a video appearance before U.S. District Judge Pamela Chen in Brooklyn. He is expected to be sentenced to time served and leave the United States on Dec. 16. He was in custody for six days after his arrest.



Mao was originally accused of entering into an agreement with an unidentified company to use its circuit board for research and sharing the proprietary information with a Chinese company. Descriptions suggest that the first company refers to CNEX Labs and the second to Huawei.



At the plea hearing, Mao admitted through a Mandarin interpreter that he told FBI agents did not know anyone at a university in Texas owned the board. But he had sought access to one when he made the false statement.



Prosecutor Sarah Evans told the judge Mao's lies "concealed the lengths" he went to access the technology on behalf of a company she did not name, but is Huawei.



Mao's arrest came amid a U.S. Justice Department crackdown on Chinese influence in universities over alleged spying and intellectual property theft by the Chinese government.

Coalition Groups Urge US to Designate the Chinese Communist Party a Transnational Criminal Organization



U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently met with representatives of groups victimized by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They urged the administration to designate the CCP a "transnational criminal organization."



Washington-based advocacy group Committee on Present Danger: China organized the groups to come together under the banner of the "Captive Nations Coalition," which included representatives from the Tibetan, Uyghur, Inner Mongolian, Hong Kong, and Falun Gong communities, as well as people negatively impacted by Beijing's Belt and Road initiative, a massive foreign investment project that aims to advance the regime's political and economic interests around the world.



Committee vice-chairman Frank Gaffney said the victim groups hoped to convey to the State Department their experiences of being suppressed by the regime, in the hopes of bringing home the message that "all of us are under threat from the global, totalitarian ambitions of the Chinese Communist Party."



The meeting marked the first time that state department officials met with these groups together, according to participants. The representatives met with Pompeo; Robert Destro, Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor; and Miles Yu, Pompeo's policy advisor, on Dec. 3.

Beijing Manipulated Wall Street to Steer US Policy, Until Trump Became President: Chinese Professor



The Chinese communist regime exerted influence over the United States for decades through its "old friends" in Wall Street, but this scheme was disrupted by President Donald Trump's election in 2016, a Chinese professor recently revealed at a seminar.



Over the past 30 to 40 years, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) "took advantage of the core power circle in the United States," said Di Dongsheng, associate dean of the School of International Studies at the Renmin University of China in Beijing, in a speech given at an event in Shanghai, live-streamed on Chinese online video-sharing platform Guan Video on Nov. 28. The clip has since gone viral, and the original video has been deleted.



Di was referring to Wall Street, a sector that started exerting "a very strong influence on U.S. domestic and foreign affairs in the 1970s."



But from 2008, Wall Street's influence declined as the financial crisis hit, Di said.



"More importantly, starting in 2016, Wall Street had no influence on Trump," he said, citing disputes the former businessman had with Wall Street financiers.



However, with a potential Joe Biden administration, Beijing may once again rely on its powerful U.S. backers, the professor said.
