Patrisse Khan-Cullors, the leader of Black Lives Matter and a self-described Marxist, recently purchased a $1.4 million home in an exclusive Los Angeles neighborhood where the vast majority of residents are white, according to reports.



The home, which features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, is nestled in Topanga Canyon and has a separate guesthouse on the property, according to a celebrity real estate blog which reported the transaction last week.



The property, which is about a 15 minute drive from Malibu beaches, features bamboo floors and vaulted ceilings, according to the listing.



Once a hippie enclave in the 1960s, Topanga Canyon is now home to sprawling homes where 88 percent of the residents are white. After the sale of the property was made public, critics took to social media to blast Khan-Cullors.



Black Lives Matter, which began as hashtag in response to the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the 2012 shooting of Trayvon Martin, took in more than $90 million last year and was at the forefront of protests across the country last year after the death of George Floyd in May.



Khan-Cullors, 37, signed a multi-platform deal with Warner Bros in October, although it is not clear how much she is paid by BLM since their finances flow through a complex web of for-profit and nonprofit corporate entities.

More than half of NYPD officers wish they never joined the force, according to a large internal survey.



An internal New York Police Department survey of nearly 6,000 officers found that 56% of NYPD cops say they wouldn't become a police officer if they had a chance to do it all over again, according to the New York Post.



When asked if they feel the public disrespects them, 46% of officers believed they are disrespected versus 42% who didn't believe so. The officers were asked if the public distrusts them, and 44% agreed while 41% disagreed. There were 73% of police poll participants who said the public does not have a good relationship with the NYPD.



A whopping 80% of NYPD officers, detectives, sergeants, lieutenants, and captains are hesitant to aggressively fight crime because of the ramifications of criminal liability, being sued, or being unfairly disciplined.



"My retirement date is next month," said a 20-year veteran of the force. "I can't wait to run out of here."



A 16-year NYPD sergeant noted, "The far-left leaning politics are absolutely destroying the city of New York."



As far as the future of New York City, 79% said that they don't think New York will be safer in two years.



"New York City police officers are well past our breaking point, and Mayor de Blasio and the outgoing City Council are still piling on with policies that punish cops and erode public safety," said Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch. "The intolerable environment and our substandard pay has every cop looking to get out as soon as they can."



A report released in April found that over 5,300 NYPD officers — approximately 15% of the force — retired or put in their papers to leave in 2020.

Progressive District Attorneys Radically Change Rule of Law in California Cities



LOS ANGELES—Amidst a wave of "smash-and-grab" robberies and other crimes, a former prosecutor is claiming that more than 50 prosecutors, support, and victim services staff have quit their jobs over San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin's progressive criminal justice reform policies.



"The office is imploding," said the source, who produced a list of those who've left their jobs since Boudin was sworn into office on Jan. 10 last year.



"Not all of them quit, but most of them quit. Some were fired," said the source, who requested anonymity out of a fear of reprisal. "The list isn't up to date. I think more have left."



Boudin fired seven prosecutors his second day on the job.



Another former investigative supervisor sued Boudin for wrongful termination last month, claiming retaliation for calling out "improper and unlawful actions" by two prosecutors.



Boudin's office hasn't responded to inquiries.
