I wonder what our posters from Vancouver think about these temperatures in fall still?

I couldn't imagine! So cold it's actually dangerous to go outside. I've never experienced anything lower than -12°C. I don't know how you guys keep things going. Whenever there's even just a sprinkling of snow here in Vancouver, they declare a state of emergency. This actually happened last winter:

Romero, what does that burning car represent?

Romero

That's actually a picture from the last Stanley Cup riot. I was making a joke that when the forecast is for -2°C and light flurries, we loot and riot!

I almost forgot..it seems like a lifetime ago now..

I suppose it will always be fresh in the minds of the people in Vancouver.

Romero

It was so stupid and senseless. A bunch of bored, middle-class kids getting their big chance to act like idiots.

Yes, it was senseless destruction fueled by alcohol.

There is freaking cold in Vancouver too, but it hasn't started snowing yet. I can't imagine how severe weather u guys are encountering to. I just found out that there is minus 27 degrees in Saskatoon, and a frightening chill ran down my spine immediately that image came across in my mind. I don't know if I can bear this deadly coldness when I moved to Saskatoon.

You will be able to adjust Jaysings..

My family made the adjustment to Alberta's harsh winters when they immigrated from sub-tropical Taiwan.

My mother came to Calgary to give birth to me..

After I was born my mother and I went back to Taiwan because my father was not allowed to leave at the time..

When we finally immigrated to Canada, Calgary was the natural choice because my mother knew the city and had friends here..

It's not always this cold in winter Jaysings..

We often get Chinook winds which blow in and raise the temperatures..

Calgary is actually a very beautiful, clean city and a wonderful place to raise my family.

That sounds like a productive day ya stud. Elk is among my favourites. I buy some every year off a farmer in New Sarepta. Must be tempting not to take one of them.

Odinson

Spent some time in the immie center because I´m such a good guy.

I like Calgary too. Provincial tax exemption is one reason of why I like this city

Why my dad decided to move here is beyond me.

My parents have said the same thing Jay. We came here in 1993 when China was a lot poorer than it is now. They have said they would not have made the same decision today. Both of them are successful in business here, but neither of them is working in the field they were trained in. It's a waste of talent.
