We live in an increasingly Orwellian world. Although it has become both a truism and a cliché to invoke the words and spirit of George Orwell's classic novel 1984 to describe the political (un)reality around us, it's fair to say that, had Eric Arthur Blair had not thought of it first,  the Western Civilization has more or less invented an Orwellian world by this point.





The world of 1984 is one where "newspeak," the fictional language of Orwell's totalitarian state, Oceania, has become the language of the political masters.



Oceania's rulers have devised a controlled language with a strict vocabulary designed to limit an individual's ability to think and articulate, and they use it to describe lies as truth and war as peace. Through these machinations, the state has turned reality on its head, and nothing is as it appears to be.



Of course, politicians, time immemorial, have worked in an environment of euphemisms that tend to cloud or muddle the true intention of policies.



But there is rarely an example of more Oceanic legislation than what the Democrats have concocted with The Equality Act.

Those that commit too many thoughtcrimes are banished to "unperson" status by these same private companies, without any intervention or even in contradiction with the will of the state and without any right to appeal.

In 2019, social media companies can ban anyone at any time for any reason. Those banished from social's walled gardens can have every post they've ever written wiped away, every record of their existence banished into the memory hole. Those that dare to mention the name of the digitally departed or criticize their banishment can themselves face being banished and their concerns deleted, ensuring the "unperson" truly ceases to exist.

But they will never give that "everyone who speaks against us is a "white nationalist" one up. It works / cancels too well for them .. While among a great many methods already, it's become their best single control / cancel weapon to date



The left are playing for keeps ...  and have every ally to assist already in motion. You mentioned "media" .. that's one of so many major arrows in their quiver.

There were people of every race in that protest up in Edmonton..



Some people were carrying tiki torches like you would see in back yards in the summer, so according to Rachel Notley, they are white nationalists.
