The House of Representatives plans a floor vote for Feb. 4 about whether to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) of her committee assignments because of the freshman congresswoman's apparent online embrace of "conspiracy theories" and other statements, a top Democrat says.

Problem is that the fascist side will never be removed from power again ... They have a lock on power now via a myriad of avenues

Is there anything that can be done?

Will the people's voices ever be heard again?

Or will it be the will of big companies and well financed NGO's from now on?

cc

The big internet companies would have been put under control and broken up had T won

Hidin wants them as they got him into power so he will do nothing to change it = guarantee of forever rule for his ilk .. as I see it

Every day they become more fascist

I hate big corporations, but I especially hate big tech.

It's one thing to call someone out and shame them on online. But to attack a person's ability to put food on the table is a line that shouldn't be crossed. It doesn't take much pressure from the cancel culture mob to cancel someone's employment contract. Employers, especially large companies, are terrified of bad press and the thought of trending on Twitter for the wrong reasons is the stuff of nightmares.

A few angry emails and an unsightly mention in a BuzzFeed article may be all it takes to get you cancelled at work. Forget about an investigation or proper human resources protocols — there isn't time for that. One of cancel culture's greatest strengths is its speed.

In any other scenario where a complaint is made against an employee, there would usually be a proper investigation process undertaken by the employer that could take weeks, maybe months. The employee would be permitted to present a defence and the full context would be examined. Termination for cause, which is the capital offence of employment law, would be a last-resort option.

Due process goes out the window when it comes to cancel culture. By the time all the facts come to light, it is too late. The damage has been done and the mob is onto its next victim.

If a person has been employed for a number of years, and is let go for an unjust reason(social media shaming), they must have legal recourse.

How does petty leftist Kathy Griffin get back at pro-Trump citizen who called her 'despicable'? By reporting citizen to FBI.

Hecklers beware! The skin is thin with this one.

Left-wing celebrities typically ignore Twitter posts criticizing them. After all, who really cares, and who has the time?

But Kathy Griffin apparently is still living life on the D-list — and would appear to have plenty of free space on her calendar to joust with regular folk.

Several Republican lawmakers alleged a double standard in the Democrat push to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) from two committee posts over her past comments and actions, while Democrat lawmaker Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) faced no such censure for her past incendiary remarks.

"If the Democrat Majority wants to go down this road, they should start by dealing with their own members who have been at this before and AFTER their election to Congress," he wrote on Twitter, suggesting Democrats were employing a double standard by punishing Greene while downplaying misconduct within their own ranks.

Omar was accused of anti-Semitism after she made remarks critical of Israel and alleged the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) was paying off politicians to take pro-Israel positions. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) reprimanded Omar, who later apologized for her remarks, although she retained her committee assignments.
