The French and aussies have been negotiating about the sale of Diesel powered submarines for years now.



Technically this deal was a knife in the back.



And they didnt even bother to notify the French.





Thats why France pulled its ambassadors from Australia and the USA.

France had 6 years to start building subs they signed on for. As at the time of the AUKUS agreement, not a single steel component had been built. The French deal was a travesty signed by one of the worst Prime Ministers in our history. We would have ended up with obsolete barges that had no chance of defending our borders. France sold us a dud. Getting out of that deal was the best thing this current PM has done.



Fuck France. It is only interested in Europe, specifically the EU and how much money it makes from scamming other nations.

Even if the French has honoured the delivery dates they agreed to, like the Seoul brother said, they are obolete for today's security reality.

I didn't spent much time reading the articles in regards to the details, but if that is the case, the deal makes a lot more sense now.

You do have a good point brother, if we put them into comparison to the China subs, it does makes sense now.
