My gut instinct, as you know, is to fan such stuff to forum imploding bitch-fight fruition...but a few people here don't understand it's for sport rather than malice. I think you are a terrific contributor. And I have never had a problem with your positions, including COVID. But, you sometimes let your temper get the best of you in disagreements. I've seen in the nine years I have been here that letting one's temper get the best of a poster is a major discussion killer. God, did we see it with Shen Li in the early days of this community. I am not comparing you to a younger SL, so did get angry.

Seems Fash and only a few others  others are the only ones (of late)  who post decently and intelligently and without even a touch of pomposity



I had prepared a direct fact-based rebuttal to Brick and seoul's attacks / pomposity & "pack mentality  in action" / gross distortion of facts aimed directly at me  and to a lesser extent to IHJ





On further thought,   I realized it was not worth the group insults it would further incur no matter how accurate my facts were

There is a deep state in the US that nobody can touch. That includes the president. This is what makes the US a little different in terms of corruption. You have a government within a government. And it's the unelected one that endures and is never held to account.



Brother, don't get me wrong. there is a lot I like about the US. I lived in Western Pennsylvania a long time ago. I was there during local and state elections. Unlike Canada, politicians listen to what voters want rather than tell them what the elected elite wants. But, this pandemic has shown the elected are not the real power.
