Well the way alt.flame was set up, it was like wrassling, you had the baby faces on one side and the heels on the other side represented by the Hell Flame Wars, both sides basically roasted the other in the funniest way possible, sometimes taking a break to discuss music, movies and mystery science theater 3000. It was all text, no gifs and pictures like they had at Brawl Hall.



Someone else can describe what went on at Brawl Hall, all I remember was they had too much porn and that German kid who was infamous because he created controversial MSN paint comics that got him in trouble in Germany, he did one on Islam that was worse than what Charlie Hebdo printed. Many of them are archived at wayback but only a few seem to be actually readable.

My experience was limited to DV throughout all it's drastic changes from completely unregistered (so fast it was hard to keep up) through the "Wild West" which lived up to its name .. then to registered etc. etc. - The  one I started on and enjoyed a lot was the earliest of them ... the unregistered.



 At that time I focused on     arguing islam as there was 2 smart & fast  challengers there who always came after me  .. each their own ways of approach. A "Muslim Girl ... exceeding fast on comeback but too fast maybe .. was easy to catch in lies .. and the best of all was what I was certain was a Fundy to the core .. fast, smart, no lies, games or BS .. just what he believed and knew his Kranny  .. lightning fast .. kept me on my toes (sometimes I had to ask hubby to take over temporarily  ac_smile )  .... learned so much about how they think, why and the consequences of not taking them seriously

Watching so called flamers talk about past glories of flaming.  They don't believe one tenth of their own bs.

Its no surprise to anyone with a life or a purpose on this rock; that reliving the past glories of a lot of long winded, written tripe would be considered a waste of time.....and rightfully so.



But to be fair, I suppose there are places on the interwebs where misanthropic narcissists like to fancy themselves as something akin to a superhero and where writing painful to read, rubbish is considered important work....

Yes, some people do relive past events of some import or perhaps they discuss a notable past sporting event in some brevity. But comparing a passing conversation to the walls of textual chest beating that takes place here, is like comparing a summer breeze to a typhoon.



Also those who discuss past events sporting or otherwise, generally have some kind of relevant connection to that which is being discussed. Unlike here where a good 80% of the forum population has absolutely no connection at all to the previously defunct forum noise being touted as the neatest thing since sliced bread.
