Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) has issued a warning to conservative Americans about "falling for the trap" if they choose to protest against former President Donald Trump's latest indictment.

Higgins, a member of the Homeland Security Committee, warned Trump supporters that the Department of Justice would like to have "J6 again," a reference to the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

"My fellow conservatives, the DOJ/FBI doesn't expect to imprison Trump, they expect to imprison you. They want J6 again, in Miami and in your city and in mine. They want MAGA conservatives to react to this perimeter probe and in doing so, set yourselves up for targeted persecution and further entrapment," Higgins said in a statement on June 11.

"They want to intercept a busload of conservatives en route to protest and create conflicts during the stop. They are hoping to provoke conservative Americans. Don't fall for the trap. Maintain your family. Live your life. Live free and pay close attention and make your voice heard," Higgins added.

"Don't become an incarcerated pawn in the agenda driven DOJ/FBI strategy to oppress conservatives across America."

Trump arrived in Miami on June 12, one day before his scheduled appearance in federal court, where he will be arraigned on federal charges. The former president faces a total of 37 felony counts over his handling of documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort, including violating the federal Espionage Act and other federal statutes for allegedly making false statements, concealing documents, and conspiring to obstruct justice.

Jim Crow Joe is more unpopular than Donald Trump was at the same stage in his presidency, according to a comparison of polling data conducted by political analytics website FiveThirtyEight.

The website gave Biden a net approval rating of -14.6 percent on June 11, notably lower than the -10.9 percent Trump recorded the same number of days into his administration.

The FiveThirtyEight study also shows Biden is less popular following 874 days in the White House than all other post-war U.S. presidents, with the sole exception of Jimmy Carter. Just 41 percent of voters approve of the incumbent's performance at this stage in the electoral cycle, versus 42.3 percent for President Trump, 47.4 percent for Barack Obama and 61.5 for George W. Bush. Carter was significantly less popular than any other president 874 days into his administration, with an approval rating of just 28.8 percent.

My guess is Trump will get convicted on 4-5 counts on the south Florida document case.  These will probably get thrown out eventually on appeal to the Supreme Court but it won't matter as corrupt Democrats, their primary goal is to influence the 2024 election, so when Trump is exonerated it will be to late.

Trump repeals independents so he is a losing candidate.  Either Republicans nominate DeSantis or they lose in 2024.

Trump is likely to get convicted on at least one count, but the verdict may not be reached before the election. And it if it happens before the election and he won, he could pardon himself.

How this works.

The indictment of former President Donald Trump for holding military documents and obstructing the government from taking them is built on a novel legal theory that has multiple weaknesses, according to several lawyers and other experts.

The case has been portrayed in the media as being about Trump's retaining classified documents from his presidency. However, the charges sidestep that issue and instead use a clause in the Espionage Act that criminalizes a failure to hand over national defense information. The indictment further alleges that Trump and staffer Waltine Nauta hid some documents when the government demanded them through a subpoena.

The alleged Espionage Act violations impose a high burden of proof and raise the question of whether the statute should have been applied to begin with and, if not, whether the underlying investigation should serve as a basis for obstruction charges.

"The key legal issue here is the interplay between the Presidential Records Act and the Espionage Act," said Will Scharf, a former federal prosecutor.

The Presidential Records Act of 1978 stipulates that after a president leaves office, the National Archive and Records Administration (NARA) takes custody of all his official records.

The law allows former presidents to keep personal documents such as "diaries, journals, or other personal notes" not used for government business.

"If a former President or Vice President finds Presidential records among personal materials, he or she is expected to contact NARA in a timely manner to secure the transfer of those Presidential records to NARA," NARA's website states.

I am in the United States right now. Opinions on Donald Trump's indictment are polarized. Democrats believe he should have been indicted. They also believe Biden and Clinton should not even though they did the same thing. Republicans, on the other hand believe the sitting president is abusing his office to eliminate his main political opponent.

Trump faces 37 counts of criminal charges, 31 of which relate to the Espionage Act. Any conviction will be on the charges unrelated to the Espionage Act.

What democrat idiots don't realize is all this court stuff is only serving to make Trump appear even more badass than he already is. If he does somehow go to prison his street cred will go through the roof. Nobody is going to support feeble old Joe over Badass Don.

Trump will lose again if he is the nominee. And unless he is convicted, he will be the nominee.
