I never liked Prince's music, nor David Bowie's. I appreciate that they had talent, but my ears just don't like it.

Prince was okay. I think I actually liked two of his songs. That's about it.
Lol same. 3 max.
Party like its 1999 is prolly my fave lol.
The actual movie Purple Rain, even as a kid, ruined Prince for me.

I can listen to some Prince... When the mood strikes.
I cant remember anything from Purple rain other than a beach and a motorcycle.
I believe the memory is from that movie.

Me. Early stuff mostly, up to and including the Scary Monsters album. It tends to get a bit hit or miss for my tastes after that...
...but he still managed to knock it out of the park on occasion.
As for Prince... yeah, the guy was an above average multi instrumentalist (alright, significantly above average) but I could say that about a number of musicians and probably there's a few people here who might agree with my choices. Thing is, as prolific as the guy was, I could probably be content with a personally curated "best of" his work and the only thing would be missing to complete it would be...
I had two copies of this back in 1987, one of them pretty close to an original master. Still got it. Fuck knows what it's worth nowadays, but for me it's the best shit that midget dipped in a bucket of pubic hair ever produced.
