Nobody knows.



Some gun owners want the promised buyback scheme to materialize, so they can get some money for their guns and buy something that they can legally shoot.



But, after three years, nothing has materialized.  I don't think Canada has the money to implement a buyback (we went woke, so we're broke), and going door-to-door asking about firearms isn't something they want to contemplate.



No other gun ban has ever functioned in this manner.  And come October, they'll simply just extend the amnesty once again.
