David and Jonathan was an English duo consisting  of Roger Greenaway and Roger Cook. They had a hit in 1966 covering the timeless Beatles tune Michelle that made it to #18 in the USA and #1 in Canada. And, it reached #11 in the U.K.:

Amen.

I expect they may be better known in music circles as songwriters Roger Greenaway and Roger Cook:  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_written_by_Roger_Cook_and_Roger_Greenaway

I'm sorry J E B Stuart, I'm not familiar with them under those names either.

Maybellene is a Chuck Berry classic that's been covered a bunch. Here's one such cover by the great Canadian rocker Pat Travers from his first album in 1976:

Amen.
Deo vindice

I've seen Ted Nugent live more times than I can remember.  Here's his 1974 cover of Maybellene from Tooth, Fang and Claw issued under the name of "Ted Nugent's Amboy Dukes." Enjoy!:

Oh.  Here's another Maybellene cover!  I've listened to a lotta Foghat over the years and this cover is from their 1972 debut album which, by the way, I have:

Amen.
Deo vindice

Herman

Pat Travers has the best version.

Very difficult to pick a "winner".  Might just boil down to whichever one I'm in the mood for on any given day. That said, I generally like Ted's instrumentation the best, but Pat's vocals are better than Ted's.

As for Foghat?  Hell, they're good any time.

Amen.
Deo vindice

I don't like that song no matter the artist. I would say the Foghat version is the least bad.
