J E B Stuart

I stumbled across this several minutes ago while researching Krokus, a Swiss heavy metal band. I'm posting this here because the lead singer's voice is virtually indistinguishable, at least on this song, from that of Bon Scott (R.I.P.) of AC/DC fame:

Amen.

I tripped over this one earlier today. I'm putting it in this thread because I'd never heard of Imelda May although it turns out she is well known in Ireland and the U.K.  I listened to some more of her stuff and I must say, she's good. Really good:

Amen.
Deo vindice

They remind me of the Stray Cats rockabilly style.

This is one of those songs I've heard before, but can't remember when nor where.  Formed in 1967, Joy of Cooking was one of those hippy bands that got oh so close to the big-time, but never made it over the hump.

An interesting fact about JOC is that they were fronted by two women, Toni Brown and Terry Garthwaite. This song was a minor hit:

Amen.
Deo vindice

J E B Stuart, I can tell this a 1960's song without being told that it is.
