I'm still not convinced he will. With the primaries over it's not like the democrats can simply declare Joe's not the nominee anymore and he's just the kind of asshole who, even demented as fuck, would rather drag the party down with him than give up his power and privileges. His wife and family won't be much help because they're just as invested in Joe being president as he is.

The democrats may try to pull off some kind of procedural maneuver at the convention but they've been happy to lie about Joe's condition so far and I doubt they'd be squeamish about continuing to do so.

Oh yeah- except they have to do a Zoom meeting vote (well before the convention) in time for Joe to get onto a state ballot... Ohio I believe. Maybe that's where they'll try to do a switch?

I dunno. To me it still seems the most likely scenario is Biden will refuse to step down and the democrats will go back to pretending everything's fine. Until it isn't.
