I began watchin NCIS: Sydney this evening and a bit of a song at the very beginning caught my ear. I'd never heard it before and I had hell trying to find out who it was as it wasn't on Tunefinders, etc. AI came to the rescue, however, when I fed it a line o' lyrics. Turned out The Church is a well-known band from OZ formed in 1980. This song was released as a single in 1988:

Amen.
Deo vindice

Herman

Shooting Star was formed in the late 70s. From Kansas City, Missouri, they're one of those bands that I had to go buy the album first time I heard the song. Released as a single in 1982, "Hang On For Your Life" is as good as it was the first time I heard it:

Amen.
Deo vindice

Herman

The singer sounds a bit like Sammy Hagar.

Did you listen to it? It aint a bad tune. The Icicyle Works is along the lines of the Cure which I don't like but Whisper to a Scream is good.

Yes, I did. I also listened to two additional songs of theirs. I thought the one you posted was, indeed, the best of the lot.

Amen.
