I don't know about the polls back in Canada. A Leger one from a week ago had the Liberals tied with the Tories in a hypotehtical match-up. That is if Mark Carney is the leader.

On February 11, an Abacus poll had the Tories up by 19 ppoints over the Liberals. No  hypothetical question was asked about who the leader of the Liberals.

Talk about Carney's surge could be like Harris. The US media built her up, pollsters had their thumbs on the scale and in the end she lost. Mark Carney could be Canada's Kamala Harris.

I suspect the Conservatives will win Shen Li Shen

The question is by how much. Carney's tenure as Prime Minister will be brief.

Like Harris in the States he may be there just to prevent an absolute blowout or landslide so the Liberals can rebuild.
