I'm far too honest to work in retail, especially a position that's customer-facing. Even as a teen when I delivered pizzas for awhile they made me stop topping pizzas between deliveries because I refused to *only* put on as much cheese etc. as per recommended specs. I couldn't cheat people like that.

How is that cheating? If the pizza place says "put this much cheese on the pizzas" then that's what you're expected to do as an employee. If anything you're cheating your company by costing them more in supplies by making the pizza what you think it should be. Sort of like I'm doing with this forum but not with cheese or other toppings.

If I can look at it and think "Dude, that is NOT enough cheese for anybody" they're cheating people.

If the company required we flick a booger on every pie before putting it in the oven I guess you'd have no problem with it because corporate is *never* wrong, eh?

Yes we're different. Your perception of insufficient cheese verses my perception of flicking a booger onto a pizza aren't quite the same thing.

I delivered pizzas while waiting for the date to start USAF basic training.
It's not like I was on a career path in the pizza restaurant industry.

And, don't forget, they forbade me to top pizzas between deliveries thus solving the toppings controversy. Obviously they valued my delivery skillz enough to work around my realistic view of pizza toppings portions.

I regret nothing.
