If it was like that in our house, I would never make it.

Split pea soup here is a very thick/creamy consistency... traditionally....so I imagine your lentil version is more watery or soup like than ours.
Blahhhhhh...

I fry the sausage separate. I crack the eggs in the bowl first, then add everything, and just stir it all up good. Pour in the pan, cover, bake at 350 for an hour

I call it Breakfast Casserole, but the actual recipe is called Morning Surprise lol.

In the pic, it has more hashbrowns, cause I halfed the recipe but not the hashbrowns.

Normally, its.....

12 eggs

2 pounds sausage (cooked)

1 green pepper

Onion optional (I dont)

1 stick of melted butter

1 pack of hashbrowns ( I use dry)

2 cups shredded cheddar

1 tablespoon of water

Bake an hour covered at 350. Pull it out, pat any grease with a paper towel, and let sit for 10 minutes.

I like hot sauce on it, some like salsa on it. Good as it is too.

Maybe I'll make it some Saturday.
