If I feel that I have "burn out" from being schooled about the "black experience" in the USA, I do not think that makes me a racist. I am just wondering why some blacks are not dictated by the experience of their slave ancestors but some still seem to carry this load on their shoulders and behave like everyone has done them wrong. So, someone like me has to be careful in front of her black friends not to oppose Obama or show support for Trump because they start acting "cool" towards you. Does anyone else have this experience? It was ages ago and blacks have done well in society since. Why is it still controversial today? Is it because of George Floyd? Is that it? I think not. I think it is always there and each time there is a death of a black man in the hands of the cops, it seems to be a wound that gets opened again. How does this ever stop?
