JOE

I've been thinking about adopting a faith lately.

I thought it might be a good idea of converting to Roman Catholicism.

But Buddhism interests me as well.

I find them both somewhat attractive faiths, but I was thinking why not just worship them both at the same time?

Yknow, attend a service in one faith one week, then the other the next.

Is this possible? Is it blasphemous?

Would it be akin to having more than 1 wife at a time?

Perhaps Fashionista or Dove can weigh in since they are both religious folk.

...or how about Judaism, cc?

Perhaps I could meet a nice Jewess such as yourself, eh?

What beliefs of your beloved faith might be compatible with Buddhism, cc?

Serious answers only......please!

I don't think Fash and Dove are stupid.

I think their beliefs are weird, but I don't care either. Christianity, mormonism and so on has no affect on my life.

No-one should be prevailed upon for what they believe in.

That does NOT mean that what they believe in should not be subject to scrutiny and comment.

Religions are built on lies, deception and a means of control.

Not one religion...not a single one...is able to provide substantiated evidence of the fundamentals of their belief. Religion and fact are mutually exclusive. You cannot believe in both.

On the other hand, substantial evidence exists that many of religion's "facts" are indeed lies.

What's the point of that? They aren't going to give up their superstitions.

Not immediately, but reason and logic will thin their ranks over time.

Some people never outgrow their superstitions. I can live with that provided they don't try and impose it on me.

@realAzhyaAryola

Easily. Two faiths = one's religion and one's political beliefs. They are the same thing. People are passionate about both.

Joe's been wanting to switch to Roman Catholicism since 5 years ago but have never done it yet.

They are not the same,  but people can be passionate about both.
