Black student burned with hot glue gun in Missouri high school's latest racist incident



A white student at Missouri's Ladue Horton Watkins High School reportedly burned a black student with a hot glue gun in a racially motivated attack — the latest in a series of racially charged incidents that have taken place at the high school since the election of Republican Donald Trump as president.



The St. Louis American reported that police are investigating the incident, which took place two days after Election Day.



Students walked out of class on Wednesday over an incident on a school bus in which white students chanting "Trump! Trump! Trump!" ordered their black classmates to sit at the back of the bus.

'Get the fuck out': Bigots mistake lupus patient's head covering for hijab and smash her car window



A California woman said that she received a threatening note and her car window was smashed all because her head covering was mistaken for a Muslim hijab.



Nicki Pancholy, 41, told KNTV that she has been hiking up Mission Peak in Fremont in the name of peace for the past 49 days. And on Monday, she dedicated her hike to bringing collective harmony after a brutal election season.



But when she came down from the peak, she discovered that her car window had been smashed. A note on the hood of her car suggested that the suspect mistakenly believed that she was Muslim.



"Hijab wearing bitch this is our nation now get the f— out," the note said.



Pancholoy explained to KNTV that her ethnicity is Rajastani Indian, and that her religion is love, not Islam. She said that scarf covering her head was for sun protection because she suffers from lupus.



Pancholy's purse and checkbook were also stolen from the vehicle. The attack is being investigated as a hate crime by East Bay Regional Park Police.

'Hatred of one minority leads to hatred of all': Jewish historians sound an alarm on Trump era



With white supremacists cheering Donald Trump's election, more than 100 Jewish historians have written a letter to the American people warning that the time for solidarity with ethnic minorities is now.



Writing in Jewish Journal, the historians look back in horror at the ugly bigotry that was unleashed during this year's presidential campaign while saying that we cannot simply wait to see how Trump governs before making judgments against both him and his movement.



"Hostility to immigrants and refugees strikes particularly close to home for us as historians of the Jews," they write. "As an immigrant people, Jews have experienced the pain of discrimination and exclusion, including by this country in the dire years of the 1930s. Our reading of the past impels us to resist any attempts to place a vulnerable group in the crosshairs of nativist racism.  It is our duty to come to their aid and to resist the degradation of rights that Mr. Trump's rhetoric has provoked."



They end their letter with a plea to Americans to stand up right now and express cross-racial and cross-ethnic solidarity with one another, and to not let themselves be divided in the coming days.



"Hatred of one minority leads to hatred of all," they write. "Passivity and demoralization are luxuries we cannot afford. We stand ready to wage a struggle to defend the constitutional rights and liberties of all Americans. It is not too soon to begin mobilizing in solidarity."

An interesting letter.



Particularly as it calls for the white majority to unite with the minorities...and NOT vice versa. It implies that bigotry is a one way street, yet how many of these "minorities" fail to assimilate, or worse, REFUSE to assimilate, and insist on maintaining their own cultural values.



Why, then, do they come to our country?



The irony of a Jew claiming to be discriminated against and excluded in America is somewhat disingenuous. We've already seen that jews occupy positions of authority in banking and politics well above their proportion of population. So, if a jew claims America is hostile to them, it is hard to take him or her seriously.



And then there is the irony; jews coming to the aid of the very group that calls for the destruction of Israel.

A teacher at Baltimore, Maryland's Harlem Park Elementary and Middle School got caught on video in an unhinged racist rant after she kicked a student out of the class.

Megyn Kelly shut down a Trump supporter who said Japanese internment camps were precedent for a Muslim registry



On Fox News' "The Kelly File" program on Wednesday night, Carl Higbie, a former Navy SEAL who is a spokesman and cochair of Great America PAC, a super PAC that supported Trump's candidacy, argued in favor of the registry, which he compared to World War II-era Japanese internment camps.



"We did it during World War II with Japanese, which you know, call it what you will, may be wrong," Higbie said, eliciting a sharp response from Kelly.



"You know better than to suggest that," Kelly said. "That's the kind of stuff that gets people scared, Carl."



"I'm just saying there is precedent for it," Higbie replied.



"You can't be citing Japanese internment camps for anything the president-elect is going to do," Kelly fired back in a raised voice.

437 acts of hatred and harassment since Donald Trump's win



The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which has been tracking hate crime activity in the U.S. for 30 years, says that more than 400 acts of hateful harassment and intimidation have taken place since Donald Trump's (s)election as president. The organization tracked the activity through Nov. 14.



Most of the reports involved anti-immigrant incidents (136), followed by anti-black (89) and anti-LGBT (43). Some reports (8) included multiple categories like anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant. The "Trump" category (41) refers to incidents where there was no clear defined target, like the pro-Trump vandalism of a "unity" sign in Connecticut. We also collected 20 reports of anti-Trump intimidation and harassment. [...]



In Oregon:



A Muslim woman was riding the Max to Beaverton in the early afternoon and a group of teenagers went to the corner of the car where she was sitting and got up in her face yelling at her that she was a terrorist, that our new president was going to deport her, that she can't wear her hijab anymore. They got increasingly menacing, and my friend went over and made them get off the train. When they were leaving through the door they tried to spit on her.



Chillingly, many of these acts occurred on the campuses of school children:



Venues of harassment included K-12 schools (99), businesses (76), and universities (67). Common also was vandalism and leafleting on private property (40) and epithets and slurs hurled from moving vehicles (38). [...]



At an elementary school in Texas:



My 13 yo half Filipino daughter was approached by a child she didn't know as she waited to board her bus after school. The young man stated "You're Asian, right? When they see your eyes you are going to be deported" and he walked away. I reported this to my district Superintendent.



Based on the data collected by SPLC, California leads the way in hateful incidents, with 51. Of those, 35 involved in the use of the Swastika. Texas came in second with a total of 30 reported incidents.
