Constantly changing "animal welfare" rules for the California pork farmers means many small family farms are being put out of business.  This is the four change in seven years and each change costs small family farms hundreds of thousands of not millions to comply with.  This seems to be the goal of vegetarian and vegan activists, to constantly change regulations so small farmers have no hope of financially complying with the ever changing regulations.

They hate regular people who eat meat and want to bankrupt any farmer who produces meat.  I am positive the activists will just then lie and claim this is somehow a problem with capitalism.

BTW there was a really good reason why confinement cages were used on sows with small piglets.  The sows will literally roll over and crush their own piglets, bite them or kill them, this costing farmers 50% to 75% of their new piglets.  Confinement cages allow the piglets to nurse from their mother during the brief period after they are born but not risk the high chance that their own mother kills them.

Newscum and the Democraps had three natural gas fired power plants in southern California shut down in the name of "climate change".  They claimed "green energy" would replace the lost electricity but in reality out of state coal fired power plants replaced the majority of the lost electricity production.  Now, faced with past blackouts and sky high electricity prices Dems want to slightly bring those natural gas fired power plants back but only during emergencies.
