No offense, but what you on doing on forums? Discussion forums are for discussing things. What you're looking for is  on social media.

Quote from: "deadskinmask" BF was alive and well.... whats more it was a great board.

I saw BF before the pin was pulled on it. It was a lot of things, but a great board it was not. I've been banned from Asian boards with 18,000 members and more traffic on a Monday  afternoon than that retirement home had in two weeks.

by great board, i don't mean ppl stacked on top of each other talking their pretentious stock market and political bullshit.... i mean a comfortable board where ppl can post and be welcomed regardless of how inept their posting is.... BF had games. each member had their own custom profile page that you could leave messages on. profile pages played a song that the user picked to best represent themselves. there were competitions and awards. subforums for every subject. there was a separate forum for paid members. there was quite alot. something for everybody.... nobody ever remembers anything but the basement....

I like a mix on forums. I like discussing the stupidity of politicians, but threads like we have here in RR are some of my favourites.  I did post on one forum for retired Canadian expats and those of that plan on retiring abroad. It was helpful. Unfortunately, it's a Facebook group now.

yeah. alot of good boards are getting buried by PC bullshit....

Few boards are thriving these days.

It's ironic that most people who still post on boards are a better fit for social media and the masses that abandoned discussion boards for social media are a better fit for this type of internet medium.

The type of forums you like only hasten the demise of this medium.
