Quote from: "Blazor"I saw this fire pit, bit expensive for me, pretty cool though. Its a Lord of the Rings fire pit. Thought part of the description was funny though lol.

...because the text isn't even written in a language that you know, so really you could never read the text on the side of the fire pit unless you're some greasy nerd who's studied the LOTR movies and learned 'Black Speech'. No, that's actually not a racist remark implying greasy nerds should learn how to speak jive, 'Black Speech' is the language that is inscribed onto the One Ring.

And that is how they justify charging five hundred bucks.

I found one similar on Etsy for a hair over $100. Thats more reasonable. Im not buying it, just thought it was cool. The one for $500, I dont remember if it came with Sauron's mask above it or if it was optional. Was still cool.

I should be on Return of the King by the time I fly to Seattle. Been reading them all again lol. Round 3.

The manufactured ones are okay for small yards.

True, they dont seem natural though. I like a ring of rock
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

For some odd reason, the authorities here frown upon fire pits.

And for most of the year, they would be rather redundant.

Why is that? Cooking over an open flame is a year round thing.

Its been so rainy this summer I've hardly had any fires in my fire pit. Plus I think the damn kids in the neighborhood kicked the rocks into the creek, it was on the edge.

Not in Oz, dear. In the warmer months, the terrain is drier than your sense of humour. A spark will cause a conflagration.

And it is so hot during that time there that I dont think I would WANT a fire lol. Other than grilling of course.

That's the other issue. If there was device to COOL you outside other than an ineffectual fan, then I'd buy one.

I've been to the Seattle area.

Lots of things to do if you can afford it.

Everything costs there. Hell I thought going to hike Mt. Rainer would be free aside from gas to get there, nope, $30 for park access and parking. But the pass lasts a week I think.

Just like American national parks.
