After twelve years of sobriety, I would say so.

And yet, Iron Horse Jockey has a tendency to overreact, can't tolerate dissenting POV, can't take constructive criticism and he loses his temper frequently when challenged. The fact that he said he got beat up while drunk and was left for dead on the side of the road is an indicator of his inability to get along with others. And he still hasn't resolved those deficiencies in his life. He angers easily, lashes out at others on the forum.

Thanks Wazxzup. I've neen sober twelve years so far. Decent people are happy for me and some nasty critters like Joe wish my liver gave out a decade and a half ago.

From what I've heard from those who attended AA meetings, it's an incurable disease.



Once an alky, always an alky.



And the damage is already done to the brain cells.



It's irrepairable and they never really recover 100%
