I think in terms of actual human abasement, the Japanese treatment of Chinese civilians and POW's was worse.

We were part of Japan at the time, so there was no war in Taiwan..

He may be able to debate numbers, but he cannot debate on factual evidence the fact that the National Socialist government of Germany implemented a policy of lethal extermination of the Jewish population of Europe, without justification or reason. Its historical name is the "Holocaust", and only a pedant will argue the accuracy of that terminology.

Riiiiight, that's why Hitler made a pact with the Zionist Federation to send German Jews to Palestine in 1933. If his intention was to genocide all the Jews, what would be the point of doing that? That also goes for the prisoner number tattoos on camp inmates, if he was only going to gas them all, again why bother?

Also, your claim that Jews were persecuted for no reason is absolute nonsense. The vast majority of prisoners were enemies of the state, like Communist sympathisers. Hitler had waged war against the Red Terror and it's followers, and for good reason too.  Without the Third Reich, there's a very good chance that western Europe would have fallen to Communism like in the East...

What makes you think that every single picture of dead bodies on Google were victims of the National Socialists?  Or that they were murdered, as opposed to died from Typhus or some other sort of illness?

My understanding of European history was that the systematic slaughter of Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, Roma, homosexuals, communists, pacifists, and other political opponents didn't begin until the war was well under way.

KILLING SQUADS ACCOMPANY GERMAN INVASION OF THE SOVIET UNION

German mobile killing squads, called special duty units (Einsatzgruppen), are assigned to kill Jews during the invasion of the Soviet Union. These squads follow the German army as it advances deep into Soviet territory, and carry out mass-murder operations. At first, the mobile killing squads shoot primarily Jewish men. Soon, wherever the mobile killing squads go, they shoot all Jewish men, women, and children, without regard for age or gender. By the spring of 1943, the mobile killing squads will have killed more than a million Jews and tens of thousands of partisans, Roma (Gypsies), and Soviet political officials.



DECEMBER 8, 1941

FIRST KILLING CENTER BEGINS OPERATION

The Chelmno killing center begins operation. The Nazis later establish five other such camps: Belzec, Sobibor, Treblinka, Auschwitz-Birkenau (part of the Auschwitz complex), and Majdanek. Victims at Chelmno are killed in gas vans (hermetically sealed trucks with engine exhaust diverted to the interior compartments). The Belzec, Sobibor, and Treblinka camps use carbon monoxide gas generated by stationary engines attached to gas chambers. JANUARY 20, 1942

WANNSEE CONFERENCE AND THE "FINAL SOLUTION"

The Wannsee Conference, a meeting between the SS (the elite guard of the Nazi state) and German government agencies, opens in Berlin. They discuss and coordinate the implementation of the "Final Solution," which is already under way. At Wannsee, the SS estimates that the "Final Solution" will involve 11 million European Jews, including those from non-occupied countries such as Ireland, Sweden, Turkey, and Great Britain. I think it stems from the brainwashing that is received early on at the school level, and then the continued brainwashing on the media level. I question everything these days cause I know we were lied to a LOT. All it takes is a few instances of waking up to the truth to start pulling the curtain down with other things as well.
