Ah...but the question is how many people will work FULL time?

How many will be "qualified"?

What happens to those with no tertiary indoctrination?

Who will do all the manual work, whilst others work "full time" in comfortable air conditioned offices, producing nothing but talk and reports.

I believe the percentage of full time workers will drop.

Some predict by around 50%.

Part time, casual and contract will be the future of employment.

In Canada, most people get dental insurance coverage through their employer. But, with fewer people working in traditional full time jobs, this coverage becomes a problem. Collection agencies do a lot of work on behalf of dental clinics.

Between my job and my husband's job we have better extended medical than most people..

But, a few crowns would  quickly use up our yearly coverage.

True.

Forgot that. Probably the most important one really.

Risk management by employers means "contracting" self-employed people...if they aren't up to scratch, they just don't get work.

Going to get ugly out there.

Frood

The way it should be. Value in the marketplace.

And our provincial and federal government are only making it worse..

We have a lot of non traditional oil in my province, but we can't get the infrastructure built to get our resources to markets other than the USA where it's heavily discounted..

Carbon taxes are sending  our jobs to other jurisdictions.

That's why we have a social safety net....to care for people who can't look after themselves.
