All for under $1000 you have yourself a home cinema setup, and can always upgrade to a larger screen when needed.  ac_cool

Think 55" is the biggest it can get for a condo, currently that's the same TV size I've bought for my dad since he had moved into his apartment in Hongkong, and his place is already considered big by Asia standards.

A big flat in Hong Kong, depending on which part of the territory equals mega $$$$$.

I remember he had to pay his for about 4 million USD, but that was a few years ago and now it should worth over 6-7 mil.  But the sad thing is the housing prices are nothing but a bubble, lol.

As you know Zetsu, I've always favoured letting the market dictate prices. However, the SAR government is making the middle class extinct by allowing non residents to artificially drive up real estate prices.

Singapore's economy is just as free as HK's and they have restrictions on foreign ownership of the city state's limited housing.

The projector and the 100" screen is pretty much the TV, but with a google Chromecast you can stream movies from your phone/tablet, or even connect a $300 laptop to it and play any movies/anime you want.  If you live in a house Fash you should seriously consider this set up too.  ac_cool

There are middle class grads from HK who have decided to work on the mainland because they know that they are forever priced out of the real estate market. Hell, they can't afford rents in HK.

So, as long as you subscribe to one of the streaming services, the Chromecast will work for the projectors?

The middle class is getting squeezed hard, while the poor at least gets some type of government housing.  IMO Hong Kong is kind of over hyped if you ever plan to work and live there.  Even as a son of a employer, I can't lie that the fact that Canada is a much better place to work and live in than places like HK. ac_unsure  I mean HK is only nice to visit and travel to once in a while, but once ya start living there it's becomes kinda dull quick once ya get used to the city life and the experience of the local culture becomes a norm.

Yep, the Chromecast is a receiver for non-smart TVs or projectors that doesn't have Netflix built in services in their system.  All you need to do is just have a phone/tablet, Chromecast, projector, white colour wall or matte white screen and a set of computer speakers.  Think the Chromecast only cost like $45 CAD before taxes.  Aside from the phone/tablet the whole set still cost less than $1000 USD, it's pretty cheap considering you're getting about a 100" cinema in ur very own home.  ac_cool
