I think if one is several generations removed and has other European ancestry besides Irish, they can't really claim to be Irish..

Blood wise, Im mostly Irish. My dad's side being the most, my moms side is mostly, but has other mixed in too like a lil German and a lil Sioux. I dont know of any others.
