Ah, wait.

I found a brilliant use for snow last year, when in the alps.

Find some nice clean snow, and put it in whisky!!!

I get snow around November 1 that last until mid to late April.

I think TOO much snow would drive me crazy. If I had to work on the Jeep or something.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

And day after day of -30 and only a few hours of sunlight.

Yeah fuck that lol. Thats TOO cold too lol. I cant take the cold like I use to. I can tolerate it to a degree, but once that wind starts blowing Im done. I also like my sunlight, easier to stay warmer. My brother says it gets dark earlier there in Seattle in the winter, but more light in the summer.

Reminds me of "One Day In The Life Of Ivan Denisovitch"...a prisoner in a Soviet gulag in Siberia. The things those poor bastards were made to do in that incredibly hostile climate.

Not at all. The correct way to drink Scotch is to add a tablespoon of water to "break the spirit" and release the flavours and aromas.

"Adding a drop of water to a young whiskey, on the other hand, can help to open up the smells and taste of the spirit."

Not all whiskies...and I don't know about your bourbons, but especially with a 12 year old blend...

He's right because it's further  North than Virgina..

We get more sunlight than Seattle in the summer.

Bricktop

Sunlight?

You don't know about sunlight in the northern hemisphere. We get sunlight for weeks on end here in summer.

But now we freeze. 17C today.

The further North you go, the more sunlight you receive in the summer..

The opposite is true in winter.

Bricktop

Yes, but with clouds and rain...

Here we go days without a single cloud...

We rarely have cloudy rainy days in the summer..

Sixteen hours a day of  sunshine..

In the Northern edge of the province the sun goes down at eleven pm and comes up at 4 am in the summer.

Think he said it stays light until 10pm. Here at peak, its like 9-9:15, and starts rising around 5:30am. Think he said 6am there. But he said dark at 3pm in the winter, that sucks.

Holy cow!!!! Dont know about the 4am part, but sun til 11 would be cool lol. No wonder your sleep cycles are crazy

Here in the Summer, it varies on rain. Might be a pop up thunderstorm, or could stay dry for a month, or rain for a week or 2 straight. Varies all the time. Very hard to plan any kind of outdoor activities. When it rains here, it normally pours.
