A male suspect, believed to be a student, has been arrested in the shooting, and a second person -- also believed to be a student -- has been detained as well, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

As to what causes, dunno. Many potential causes (internal to the individual's mind and external) and often several items combine to make someone simply want to kill people indiscriminately

I could be wrong but I think the shooters in these are generally (for whatever reason) suicidally depressed and want to kill themselves, but are mad at the world and want to take others out with them, plus maybe get famous for a day or two (infamous)

Ever notice how our resident gun nuts go quiet when these catastrophes happen...and accuse people like me of "politicising" the event, as if that's a BAD thing?



Nope. The thought of having no lethal weapon terrifies them.



Every gun owner is an enabler of the slaughter of innocent kids in schools. And not just in the US.
