Thank you...but it's not great quality.

Best I could do. But it is a very rare event.

Bricktop

Preening black female yellow-tailed cockatoo.

That's what I meant.

Are they the same size as a sulphur crested cockatoo?

No. They are smaller.

It's only the sulphur crested cockatoos we see as pets here.

Bricktop

And you shouldn't be seeing them!!!

Black cockatoos were on the threatened list years ago, but their numbers have recovered spectacularly in the last few years in South Australia.

I'm pretty sure they are on the "No Export" list. Either way they would cost a fortune. They are not suited as pets. They are highly active and need lots of space. People love them because they are full of character and fun. I've seen one for $15,000 USD on an illegal exotic animal dealer's web site.

Sulphur crested cockatoos are loud, but good natured..

They are expensive here.

They are so beautiful.

Bricktop

And FREE!!!

I took the dog out this morning and walked under a tree. As I did so, a small flock of lorikeets landed in the tree about a metre above my head.

Cool!!!

They are not free here....perhaps five to then thousand dollars.

Bricktop

Well, there's $30K sitting in the tree...and about another $30K just above them.

I take all regular credit cards.
