I saw my first pair of Red Capped parrots driving to New Norcia a month back...They flew screaming across the road. I can't wait to photograph some one day.

They are raised as pets here.

Sad, really. To see a bird in the wild is far more exciting than to see one in a cage.

They would have to keep poison on the borders continually for that to work.



They won't do that in Australia... rodents feed snakes... according to one of my sources, Australia has a rodent plague every 4 years.

There is a hotline run  by the provincial government you can call if you see a rat in the province..



Technicians will come, find the rat and kill it.
